The uninterrupted life is not worth living. That's been Susie Lloyd's motto ever since she started writing... while raising seven children with her husband Greg... and homeschooling them. In fact, the real reason she enjoys public speaking is that she gets to finish a sentence.
Parents feel connected with her through her humor books, Please Don't Drink the Holy Water! (Sophia) and Bless Me Father, for I Have Kids (Sophia). Her work has appeared in Catholic Digest, The National Catholic Register, Crisis, Franciscan Way, The Latin Mass and Faith and Family. She is a three time Catholic Press Association award winner. Just like her writing, her talks give Catholic parents practical insights as well as help them to lighten up and to know they are not alone in the world. Here's what people have said:
"You were wonderful! You should definitely do more speaking engagements. After the conference thirteen of us went out to dinner and we all agreed how funny you were and what a delight it was to hear you." Allison Girone, audience member, CHAPLET Conference April, 2010
"Thank you for coming to speak at our Conference. I know God reached many people through you. Our exit polls showed you were a very popular speaker." The Team at WMCH, New England Catholic Homeschool Conference, June 2010
"Everyone in our Lehigh Valley Legatus group gave you the highest rating as a speaker." John Miravich, Program Chair, February 2012.
“Thank you. You helped me today. I was being selfish. I am going to help my wife more.” Audience member at IHM New York Conference, July 2018
Susie has done numerous radio, print and online interviews and has appeared on EWTN. Her latest book, Yes, God! What Ordinary Families Can Learn About Parenting from Today's Vocation Stories (Ave Maria Press) tells about the joys, struggles, and lessons of modern families who have raised priests and religious.
