Scott is a longtime producer for SiriusXM’s Catholic Channel and produced seven nationally aired audio documentaries on Catholic topics. A published music author recognized by Variety, he speaks on the history of the pro-life movement, engaging Catholic media, growing in faith through family challenges, combating pornography, and navigating differences between Catholics who attend the Latin Mass and the Ordinary Form.
Scott has been a producer for SiriusXM's Catholic Channel since 2012, beginning with a 13-year run on Seize the Day w/Gus Lloyd. He currently produces the Doug Tooke Show, which airs weekdays from 2 pm ET to 4 pm ET. He has produced seven original audio documentaries that have aired nationally, including a three-part series on Pope Francis, Pope Benedict XVI, and Mother Teresa; the History of the Catholic Channel; and, most recently, Cardinal Timothy Dolan’s time as the Archbishop of New York.
He’s also a published author focused on popular music. His 2023 debut, “All the Leaves Are Brown: How the Mamas & the Papas Came Together and Broke Apart” (Backbeat), was named one of Variety's Best Music Books of 2023. His follow-up, “Ladies Love Outlaws: Waylon Jennings’s Long Road to Overnight Sensation,” will be released by Backbeat in October 2027. He also writes a monthly feature for the Strange Brew, focusing on artists from all genres of popular music from the 1950s through the 1980s.
Scott lives in Riegelsville, Pennsylvania, with his wife Rebecca, of 20 years, two children, two pugs, and a cat, all of whom tolerate his insatiable obsession with music. A cradle Catholic, Scott and his family are dedicated parishioners at St. Lawrence Church, where he serves as a lector.
