Kevin Kuster spent twenty years photographing some of the world’s most culturally influential people, living at the intersection of celebrity, success, and excess—chasing everything the world promised would bring happiness. Through a profound encounter with God’s love, Kevin discovered that true fulfillment was not found in what the world could offer, but in the embrace of the Father’s love and the identity of being His beloved son.
For two decades, Kevin served as a Senior Photography Editor for Playboy Magazine at the height of its cultural influence. He created and produced images featuring some of the most influential celebrities, professional athletes, and political figures in the world. From the outside, Kevin appeared to have everything the world promised would bring happiness: success, recognition, wealth, and access to a life most people only imagined. But behind the images was a hidden battle with shame, insecurity, and a deep longing for something more.
After a near-death experience and during one of the darkest seasons of his life, Kevin found himself searching for answers in an unexpected place—a Catholic healing conference. Though he knew little about the Holy Spirit, Kevin experienced a powerful encounter with God’s love that transformed his heart and changed the direction of his life. Kevin left behind the world of celebrity and began following Christ’s call. He went from photographing some of the world’s most recognized people to helping bring hope and dignity to those living in extreme poverty as the co-founder of Watts of Love, a global solar lighting nonprofit empowering families in the developing world through sustainable light.
Trading the parties of the Playboy Mansion for the villages of the developing world, Kevin has traveled from leper colonies in Nepal to garbage dumps in Kenya and impoverished communities in Haiti—bringing solar lights, hope, and the message of God’s transforming love. Through his powerful testimony of conversion, healing, and redemption, Kevin shares how God can restore even the most broken places in our lives.
