Judy Landrieu Klein entered the national Catholic speaking circuit after her book, Miracle Man, became an Amazon Kindle #1 Bestseller in Catholicism. A wife, mother of five and Catholic theologian, Judy was studying for a PhD in Bioethics when her late husband, Bernie, suffered a massive heart attack. His near-death experience and miraculous deathbed conversion prompted her to write a book about their journey both to share their incredible story and give hope to others in the midst of deep suffering.
Now a newlywed, grandmother of eight, and full-time speaker and author, Judy’s second book, Mary's Way: The Power of Entrusting Your Child to God, was released in 2016 by Ave Maria Press as a Catholicmom imprint book. Judy blogs regularly at Aleteia, Catholic Mom and for the Catholic Writers Guild.
Judy holds a Masters Degree in Theological Studies from the University of Dallas and conducted post-graduate studies in Bioethics at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome. After serving as an adjunct professor of theology at Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans for seven years, tragedy visited Judy’s life. It was then that she discerned the call to speak about her experiences outside of the classroom with the goal of reaching as many people as possible with her inspiring message of hope. Incorporating Catholic theology into her storytelling, Judy makes the faith relevant to the challenges her audiences encounter. They laugh and cry at her honest, heartfelt presentations, and the most frequent feedback Judy receives is: “Wow!”
Judy has spoken at many conferences around the country, including the Fullness of Truth Conference, the St. Louis Marian Conference, and the Women in the New Evangelization Conference, as well as at Magnificat Women’s Breakfasts and Legatus Dinners. She has also appeared on numerous Catholic radio and television programs including EWTN’s Women of Grace, Focus Worldwide Television’s Focus, Ave Maria Radio’s Kresta in the Afternoon and Catholic Connection with Teresa Tomeo. Judy also serves annually as a host of Catholic Community Radio’s Radio-thon in New Orleans.
In addition to her compelling personal testimony, Judy speaks on a wide variety of subjects. Talks include: Holy Hope: Is There Any Other Kind?, Finding the Way When There Is No Way, Suffering That Leads to Hope, Feminine Discipleship in the Image of Mary, Experiencing Personal Transfiguration Through the Theological Virtues. Having co-hosted Radio Maria’s Apologetics Live program for five years, Judy also has extensive experience teaching Catholic apologetics.
