John Martignoni. Born Catholic, but never learned the Faith growing up. Left the Church when I went off to college. Received a B.S. in Finance and then an M.B.A. from the University of Alabama.
Went to work in the defense industry as a cost analyst for several years before returning to school - Univ. of North Carolina - to get a Ph.D. in Finance. Did not get the Ph.D., but came back to the Church at the end of the year I was at North Carolina. Was a cafeteria Catholic for a couple of years until getting hold of Scott Hahn’s “Conversion Story” talk and delving deeply into apologetics. First public practice of apologetics was to protest a virulently anti-Catholic program that was aired on the largest Evangelical radio station in Alabama, and wound up with a live, 1-hr. per week program on that same station doing Catholic apologetics. Starting giving talks at parishes soon after and that grew into a full-time job at which I’ve been working for the last 12 years or so.

I have distributed over one million audio copies of my talks in the past few years, and my e-newsletter, “Apologetics for the Masses,” is sent every couple of weeks to about 40,000 subscribers in all 50 states and more than 70 countries. I have had several articles published in Catholic Answers magazine and at Aleteia.
My first television series was a 5-part mini-series called, “Blue Collar Apologetics,” that aired on EWTN television April 13-17.
Married 20 yrs. to Janel; three sons, Brennan, Ethan, and Noah, and one daughter, McKenna.
