Jill Simons Catholic Speaker

Travels from Tulsa, Oklahoma

The Body of Christ has no spare parts. That conviction is the heartbeat of everything Jill Simons does. As the Executive Director of Many Parts Ministries, author of seven books on charism discernment, and host of the Charisms for Catholics podcast, Jill is on a mission to help every Catholic discover that the Holy Spirit has given them supernatural gifts the Church desperately needs. Her speaking is personal, theologically grounded, and always practically oriented — she walks into a room as a knowledgeable friend, not a lecturer, and she walks out leaving people with a renewed sense of their own irreplaceable role in the Body of Christ.

Jill holds an English Literature degree from Benedictine College and is a graduate of the Encounter School of Ministry, where she trained in receptivity to the Holy Spirit, prophetic gifts, prayer, and evangelization. Before founding Many Parts Ministries in 2023, she spent a decade building Pink Salt Riot, a Christian women's lifestyle brand she led as Creative Director until its acquisition in 2025. That entrepreneurial background — combined with her theological training and her own journey of charism discernment — gave her a unique lens: she saw that the Catholic Church had rich teaching on spiritual gifts but very few practical, scalable tools to help people actually discover them. So she built those tools. Her seven books span audiences from children to ministry leaders, including The Essential Handbook on Living Your Charisms, Starting the Adventure: Charisms for Kids, Passion and Purpose: Charisms for Teens, Letting Grace Lead for ministry leaders, and the Spirit Rising high school curriculum now used in parishes nationwide. She has spoken at the National Catholic Educators Conference, the Abide Conference, the Tulsa Catholic Women's Conference, and the Hearts Aflame Conference, and her podcast has been featured alongside appearances on Abiding Together, Catholic Feminist, and Catholic Creatives. Jill is a wife and mother of four, with one child in heaven, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is available for national and international travel.

Talk Titles and Synopses

Discovering Your True Identity in Christ Signature Talk

Most of us build our identity on one of three things: our struggles, our achievements, or our relationships. And all three will eventually let us down. In this signature talk, Jill shares her own journey of discovering that none of these foundations can hold the weight of a human life and invites participants into the freedom of an identity rooted in their Baptism. Through personal storytelling, Scripture, and practical prayer tools, participants will identify the specific lies they have been believing about themselves and replace them with the truth of who God says they are. Everyone leaves with a repeatable framework for renewing their mind with Scripture when the old lies come back.

You Are Not Replaceable: Helping Every Catholic Discover Their Unique Role in the Body of Christ Workshop

One of the biggest lies Catholics believe is that they don't really matter — that the Church would be fine without them. In this interactive and hope-filled workshop, Jill introduces participants to charisms: the supernatural gifts the Holy Spirit gives each baptized person for the building up of the Church. Drawing from the Catechism, participants learn what charisms are, why the Church tells us we need to discern them, and how parishes can begin implementing charism discernment at scale. Whether you serve as a catechist, parish leader, or volunteer, you will leave with a renewed understanding of your own irreplaceable role and practical tools to help the people you serve discover theirs.

Passing the Fire: How to Help Young People Discover Their Charisms Workshop

What if one of the reasons young people are walking away from the Church is that no one ever told them they have something it desperately needs? In this practical, energizing workshop, Jill shares how charism discernment can be the missing piece in youth and young adult formation — giving kids and teens not just rules to follow but a personal mission to live. Drawing from her books for children and teens as well as the Spirit Rising high school curriculum used in parishes nationwide, Jill equips catechists, teachers, and youth ministers with age-appropriate frameworks for introducing charisms from elementary through high school. Participants leave with concrete strategies they can bring back to their parish, school, or family this week.

Hearing God's Voice Half-Day Retreat

God is always speaking — but most of us were never taught how to listen. In this half-day retreat, Jill explores the many ways God communicates with His children: through Scripture, through prayer, through other people, and through the quiet movements of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. Participants will learn practical tools for recognizing God's voice, distinguishing it from their own thoughts and fears, and growing in confidence as they respond to what they hear. This retreat is rooted in the conviction that hearing God is not reserved for mystics and saints — it is the birthright of every baptized person.   Receptivity to the Holy Spirit Talk The Holy Spirit is not an abstract theological concept — He is a living, active Person who wants to work through you. In this talk, Jill shares how growing in receptivity to the Spirit transformed not just her prayer life but her entire vocation, and she invites participants to do the same. She unpacks what it practically looks like to make room for the Spirit's movement in our daily decisions, relationships, and ministry. Participants leave with a deeper understanding of the Holy Spirit as a Person they can know and respond to — and practical next steps for saying yes to His invitations.

Winning the Battle in Your Mind: Renewing Thoughts with Scripture Talk

Every one of us has a set of lies playing on repeat in our heads — lies about who we are, what we are worth, and what God thinks of us. In this talk, Jill walks participants through her signature Lie/Truth framework, a practical and repeatable method for identifying the specific lies we believe and replacing them with the declared truth of Scripture. This is not a lecture on positive thinking. It is a battle strategy grounded in the Word of God and the reality that our thought life shapes everything — our relationships, our confidence, our ministry, and our ability to hear the Lord. Participants leave equipped to take their thoughts captive and fight back with the truth.

Christian Entrepreneurship Talk

What does it look like to build a business as an act of obedience to the Holy Spirit? Jill spent ten years as the founder and Creative Director of Pink Salt Riot, a Christian women's lifestyle brand, before it was acquired in 2025. In this talk, she shares the lessons she learned about building something from nothing while trusting God with the outcome — including the moments when obedience looked like scaling up and the moments when it looked like letting go. This talk is for anyone discerning whether God is calling them to create, build, or lead in the marketplace, and it is grounded in the conviction that entrepreneurship can be a powerful expression of our charisms.

Beginning Charism Discernment Half-Day Retreat

This half-day retreat is a deep dive into identity, grace, and the charisms of the Holy Spirit. Jill walks participants through the foundations of charism discernment: what charisms are, where they come from, how they differ from natural talents, and why the Church calls every baptized person to discern them. Through teaching, personal reflection, and guided exercises, participants leave with a clear understanding of the landscape of charisms and practical next steps for continuing their own discernment journey. This retreat is ideal for parishes, small groups, or ministry teams who are just getting started with charism discernment.

Trusting God from a Place of Safety Half-Day Retreat

For many of us, trusting God feels like standing at the edge of a cliff and being told to jump. But what if trust was never meant to feel like recklessness? In this half-day retreat, Jill explores what it looks like to build a relationship with God where trust grows from a place of genuine safety — not white-knuckled obedience but the deep, settled confidence of a child who knows her Father. Through Scripture, personal testimony, and guided reflection, participants will examine the places where fear has masqueraded as wisdom and discover what it means to surrender from a posture of belovedness rather than anxiety.
