Jadin O’Brien is a highly decorated Division I track and field athlete for the University of Notre Dame. A three-time National Champion, 9x All-American, and twice an Olympic Trials Qualifier, Jadin uses her athletics platform to promote her Catholic faith. Her relentless drive to never quit despite the multiple injuries and trials she’s faced thus far in her collegiate journey is inspiring to all audiences who have the pleasure of hearing her speak.
Jadin's unique approach to life is a testament to her belief that sports is a platform for her to represent God to those around her. She is passionate about her faith, family, sport, and country, all of which she believes are integral to her success in track and field. ● Executive Board Member for Fighting Irish Fight For Life: a program pairing pediatric cancer patients in the South Bend community with Notre Dame’s varsity sports teams.

● Fellow for Notre Dame’s De Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture.

Throughout her athletics career, she has received countless accolades, including representing Team USA on multiple accounts, being named the USTFCCCA Women’s Scholar Field Athlete of the Year two years in a row, receiving the ACC Excellence Award, being an NCAA National Champion runner-up in the heptathlon (2024), being an nine-time All-American, a four-time ACC Champion in the pentathlon, and a two-time Olympic Trials qualifier in the heptathlon.
Jadin earned a bachelor’s degree in American Studies with minors in Digital Marketing and Theology from the University of Notre Dame in 2024. She is pursuing her Masters in Non-Profit Administration at Notre Dame’s esteemed Mendoza College of Business.

● Faith and Family: The Cornerstones of Success – It’s no secret that Jadin’s family is an irreplaceable part of her life. Coming from a large Irish Catholic family, Jadin describes what life was like competing against five brothers and one sister, how her father inspired her Olympic dream, and how her mother put that dream within grasp through her coaching. In this talk, she leaves the audience understanding the importance of creating a strong support system. Her stories will also emphasize the power of building a strong family and how their unwavering support makes charging into any problem less intimidating.
● Performing Under Pressure (USA Olympic Trials) – Jadin’s experience as one of the top collegiate athletes in the United States has made her accustomed to performing in high-pressure situations, often while severely injured. In this speech, Jadin draws on her most recent experience at the Olympic Trials, the personal struggles she fought there, and some techniques she used to keep her calm when everything was on the line. This speech will leave the audience inspired and motivated to conquer their fears.
● The Art of Turning “It” Off – In this speech, Jadin will highlight key instances as a Division 1 athlete and the techniques she developed to prevent her nerves and anxiety from dictating the outcome of her performances. She will also talk about her effective strategy of channeling energy from intense fear and anxiety and how she uses that energy to create positive outcomes instead of allowing the negative energy to impact outcomes.
