Travels from Dallas, Texas

Jacob Niemeier has been deeply influenced by his Catholic Christian faith from an early age. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering with a focus on Water Resources from Purdue University and maintains his Engineering license. Jacob’s faith is demonstrated through service to the less fortunate, prayer, and community fellowship with other Catholics.

Jacob is passionate about the Theology of the Body, Catholic Social Teaching, and living a mission-driven life to "speak truth, inspire transformation, and empower others." Jacob's problem-solving and adventurous spirit extend to water, environmental issues, travel, and people. Mission trips to Haiti and Africa during his time at Purdue inspired him to establish Vera Aqua Vera Vita, a nonprofit dedicated to providing clean water and sanitation solutions in developing countries. After graduating in 2012, he moved to Dallas to work as a water resources engineer with Stantec, Inc. In June 2017, he founded Vera Aqua Vera Vita and went full-time to focus on its mission. Jacob is also the co-founder of Marina's Cleaning Services, a residential and commercial cleaning business, and serves as Chief Technology Officer and Leadership Formation Instructor with the Authentic Leadership Foundation. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Fernanda and their family, engaging in sports, and savoring craft beer. Jacob is a visionary, problem-solver, and dedicated Catholic, striving to live out the quote from St. Catherine of Siena: "If everyone was who God created them to be, we would set the world ablaze."

Water is a Gift of Life - Have you ever stopped to wonder about the importance of water? I mean seriously, it is all around us, and aside from Oxygen, it is the single most important natural resource we have! All of organic life in one way or another depends on water for Physical life, but here is the real kicker, our Spiritual life hinges on water, as well. From the creation story to water flowing from the side of the temple to the woman at the well being offered "Living Water" to water flowing from the side of Christ at Calvary, let us "untap" the wonderful and beautiful "Gift of Life" that is Water!

Service is a Way of Life - The Gospel calls us to evangelize, but Christ's approach often involved addressing physical needs first. Meeting these needs made people more receptive to spiritual messages. In Matthew 25, Jesus emphasizes that serving others is akin to serving Him. Therefore, service is essential for spiritual growth, both for those who serve and those who are served. Works of Mercy Bring New Meaning to Life - The Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy guide us to live out our Christian faith in tangible ways. By practicing these works—such as feeding the hungry and comforting the sorrowful—we align with our calling to help others and experience true flourishing. Jacob's personal story highlights that living out these acts reflects the Glory of God, which is seen in man fully alive.
