Father Andy Davy, MIC, is a Marian Father of the Immaculate Conception. Originally from Maryland, he entered the community in 2003, after his time as a university student at The Catholic University of America. Ordained to the priesthood in 2009, he first served as a pastor and now serves as the superior and formator for the Marian seminarians studying in Steubenville and Menlo Park, CA.
He has focused much of his time on the evangelization of children, youth, and young adults, helping them discover the love and mercy of God. In 2023 he completed his Licentiate in Sacred Theology (STL) in the New Evangelization at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, Michigan, and from 2021-2024 served the U.S. Church as a National Eucharistic Preacher.
He is a huge fan of the great works of literature, most notably the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, and gives retreats on them to young adult communities from time to time. He is a singer, drummer, horseback rider, Disc-Golfer, Muppet aficionado, and loves just about everything (except butter pecan ice cream). During the pandemic, he created a youtube series of reading children’s books and singing praise songs to help children (and later adults) work through the fears and anxieties accompanying that difficult time period. Currently he has a weekly children’s show called “Gospel Picnic” where he helps the little ones learn about the Sunday Gospel in a fun and age appropriate way.
