Ordained a Franciscan priest in 1983, Albert Haase, OFM, is a popular preacher, teacher, spiritual director and radio personality. A former missionary to mainland China for over eleven years, he is the author of eight books on popular spirituality. He is also the presenter on the bestselling DVD series, CATCHING FIRE, BECOMING FLAME: A Guide for Spiritual Transformation and KEEPING THE FIRE ALIVE: Navigating Challenges in the Spiritual Life (both by Paraclete Press). He trains spiritual directors in the diocese of Springfield, IL. He is also the co-host of Spirit and Life, a radio show heard every weekend in 15 states on the Relevant Radio Network.
Fr. Albert is on the road preaching and teaching about 47 weeks of the year. He is especially known for his parish missions and his one-day workshops on the spiritual life.
