Desirae Sifuentes is the sassy Catholic revert behind Uncatechized Catholic, a podcast and YouTube show for Catholics who are done rehashing the basics and ready to go deeper. A theology graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, she speaks at conferences, has guested on Catholic Answers LIVE, and covered SEEK 2026 for EWTN — all in pursuit of her mission to stop the hemorrhage of uncatechized Catholics leaving the faith and set them aflame with love for the Lord. She lives in South Bend with her husband, six homeschooled children, and an alarming amount of coffee.
Desirae Sifuentes is a spunky Catholic speaker, host, and media personality known for social media page and show called Uncatechized Catholic. She is passionate about reigniting the Holy Spirit's spark in the lives of every kind of Catholic and inspiring people to move beyond mere knowledge of faith to a place where it is fully integrated into every aspect of their lives. She is a Catholic revert from Mormonism, known for her sassy humor and takes rooted in the greatest of all things: love.
Beginning with Uncatechized Catholic, Desirae has focused on teaching mid-level catechetics with a metaphysical emphasis, encouraging those who follow that work to view the faith multidimensionally. This work seeks to present a balanced, authentic look at our beautiful faith, including all its diversity of thought, while remaining faithful to doctrine. It’s culminated in the podcast and YouTube show Uncatechized Catholic, which she produces with her video editor.
Since completing her degree in Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville, she has expanded her work by speaking at conferences such as the Catholic Creator Conference, guesting on Catholic Answers LIVE, and by hosting conference coverage on the radio and internet, including EWTN’s coverage of SEEK 2026.
It’s her mission to transform lukewarm catholics and neophytes who are hungry for meaning and growth. She wants to bring apathetic catholics back from the brink, stopping the hemorrhage of uncatechized catholics abandoning their faith, and setting them aflame with a love of the Lord. She is eager to provide the “next step” in the faith for many people--those who are done hashing out true presence, the immaculate conception, praying to the saints, and other commonly addressed topics, and ready to talk about deeper facets of our faith that are often neglected in favor of the apologetics greatest hits.
When she’s not traveling for work, she’s proudly supporting her husband’s endeavors in South Bend (although Phoenix will always be home), loving on her 6 homeschooled children, guzzling copious amounts of coffee, and antiquing like a mad woman.
