Denise Yarrison Catholic Speaker

Travels from Schwenksville, Pennsylvania

I would love to speak at your parish, women’s event, retreat, or other gathering. Our ministry is primarily focused on healing and freedom. In addition to speaking, our primary offerings are Catholic healing retreats, 1-on-1 and small group coaching, and Catholic community for women. This page provides an overview of talks we frequently deliver. Please know it is common for me to tailor a talk (or create a new one!) to suit your particular theme and group.

Archdiocesan reviewed and approved speaker with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, PA.

A note from De: Way back into my childhood, I recall daydreaming about the prince who would ride into my life, rescue me from my circumstances and fill me up in every way. I unconsciously looked for signs of my prince in the ordinary men in my life. I didn’t yet know that I was searching for my Savior.

When reality left its clues, time and again, that none of these men was my savior, I was hurt and confused. I began to believe that maybe something was wrong with me or that I wasn’t good enough. I bought into the lies that told me who and what I needed to be in order to earn the love and sense of belonging that I craved.

Our Lord finally got my attention, albeit through a series of adverse events in my life, and gently and slowly, He healed my wounds. He strengthened my spirit, taught me how to resist Satan’s lies, and firmly rooted me in the Truth of who I am – God's beloved daughter and a beloved Bride of Christ.

Through speaking and coaching, I am privileged to journey alongside other women as they journey towards freedom and healing from the effects of traumas, abuse, betrayal and emotional wounding. It is my utter joy to guide women in the discovery that no matter how long we’ve believed that lie of the enemy and no matter how many mistakes or poor choices have been made, His loving arms are always open and waiting for our return. Rejoice!

My husband, Marc, and I have been blessed with three amazing-joy-givers and hair-pulling-anxiety-producers, ages 21, 19, and 8! We live in the Philadelphia suburbs and love to serve the Lord through our home parish of St. Mary Catholic Church in Schwenksville, PA.

Talks / Retreat Sessions:

The Path to Inner Healing: Our Lord does not want us merely “coping” or perpetually managing anxiety, overwhelm, or other adverse patterns of emotion. He has come to make all things new! In this talk, De will shed light on the connection between present day adverse habits of mind / habits of emotion and early wounding we may have experienced. She will guide us to encounter the Lord interiorly, where He awaits us and longs to bring restoration and healing to our hearts. Come, and let us journey together on the path to inner healing! We will explore:
  • Rupture and disintegration we experience from early life experiences
  • Identity lies, inner vows and adverse patterns of behavior that often take root in our lives
  • Reintegration: getting to the heart of the matter with our Lord

This session is ideal for a half-day mini-retreat format or longer.

Freedom Amidst Uncertainty: Anxiety. Worry. Not enough…time, energy, money, popularity, worthiness. We are captive to fears, limiting beliefs, and quite frankly, lies. Yet, Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection claimed our freedom: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” – Galatians 5:1

In this talk, De guides us to:

  • Encounter our Lord where He can always be found: abiding within the heart of our own hearts.
  • Anchor ourselves to God’s Truth and to His promised peace that surpasses all understanding.
  • Identify the lies and distortions that ensnare us and lead us to feel anxious.
  • Understand the importance of a self-supportive inner life.
  • Learn a process for becoming more rooted and grounded in God’s Love.

Being the Beloved: While we may likely believe the sentiment, “God loves you,” we often fall short when it comes to allowing the fullness of this truth to deeply land within our hearts and change our lives. For if my day-to-day existence reflected my true identity as Beloved of God, wouldn’t I perhaps speak more kindly to myself, shower myself with compassion rather than criticism, and desire to share the love of God more freely with others?

In this talk, De exposes some common ways we unknowingly reject our true identity in Christ. We’ll experiment with ways to live the life of a beloved child of God, right in the midst of our ordinary, busy, messy, culturally-pressured lives. There is great freedom awaiting us!
