Deacon Filips is the author of “Pearls of the Universal Church, the Catholic faith in a nutshell” His book is the best explanation of the Catholic faith available. It is written in an easy-to-understand way and is completely faithful to the church (with imprimatur). Many of his talks are taken from the book. Deacon learned how to explain the faith clearly by teaching the catechism to 7th and 8th grade students for 15 years. He has also done adult faith education and bible study, marriage and baptism prep. He is a diocesan annulment sponsor and is a leader in his local parish and community. He is a popular mission and conference speaker. He is also a proud husband, father, and grandfather.
