Curt Tomasevicz came from a simple farming community in Nebraska and through a crazy set of peculiar events, he would end up becoming the most successful bobsled push athlete in U.S. history. Throughout his entire adventure, his faith played a vital role in not only his athletic success and performance, but also in his daily life.
Many people confuse bobsledding with a fun recreactional winter activity. However, racing at speeds over 90 mph and experiencing up to 5 Gs of force while riding in an uncomfortable position in freezing tempuratures down a mountain shouldn't be mistaken as fun for anyone. Especially considering a bobsled crash can happen on any curve on any track on any particular day. So while most people would describe bobsled as exciting, it should mostly be considered terrifying.
Facing this fear through a deep rooted faith in Christ allowed Curt Tomasevicz to not only conquer this frightning act multiple times daily for ten years, but he was able to become one of the world's best push athletes. Curt always had a competitive spirit and a natural athletic talent, but he was able to hone those talents to achieve the ultimate athletic success as he and his team were able to win two Olympic medals including a gold medal in 2010. Now Curt uses his experiences in bobsled along with his faith to strive for greatness in all areas of life.
Curt's dynamic story of coming from a small town in Nebraska, to playing college football at the University of Nebraska, to Olympic glory in bobsled is inspirational and filled with relatable lessons for everyone.
