For Alan Graham, life revolves around relationships—with God, family, staff, and the homeless individuals he's connected with on the streets of Austin for over two decades.
Alan is the visionary founder and CEO of Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF), a social outreach ministry offering food, clothing, community, and dignity to homeless men and women. Formerly a real estate investor and developer, Alan established Trilogy Development and the Lynxs Group, contributing to the development of Austin’s airport cargo facility and similar projects nationwide.
In 1998, Alan, inspired by a divine calling to "love your neighbor," embarked on a journey with four friends, delivering meals to the homeless from the back of a green minivan. While the initial approach had flaws, with the guidance of a formerly homeless man, Houston Flake, they perfected the model that MLF employs today. Since its inception, MLF volunteers have served over 5 million meals with a side of hope to homeless individuals in Austin. The organization's success has inspired similar food truck ministries in cities across the U.S.
Alan is also the driving force behind MLF’s Community First! Village—a 51-acre master-planned development in northeast Austin, providing affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for individuals transitioning out of chronic homelessness.
Married to Tricia since September 1984, Alan and Tricia are proud parents of four children and have lovingly raised a niece as part of their family. Alan, a published author of "Welcome Homeless: One Man’s Journey of Discovering the Meaning of Home," also hosts the Gospel Con Carne podcast, delving into societal woundedness through untold stories of those who have experienced homelessness.
