Virginia Lieto brings life’s experience to her speaking engagements, through personal stories of trial and triumph. Relatable everyday experience means more to participants, and Virginia delivers! One will walk away from one of Ms. Lieto’s engagements with more than one “golden nugget” as a takeaway for building a closer relationship with Christ.

Virginia Lieto is an adjunct professor for the online Theology program at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, where she also obtained her Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Theology. In addition to teaching and public speaking on the Catholic faith, Virginia is the author of children’s books centered on three sisters who learn the virtues from their parents. Her first in the series is “Adventures of Faith, Hope and Charity – Finding Patience”, a 2016 National Indie Excellence Award Finalist for Children’s Religion books, as well as a Catholic Writers Guild Seal of Approval recipient. Virginia contributes to Catholic Mom, and Saint Joseph’s College of Maine’s Theology Blog.

-Living a Virtuous Life Day Retreat: This presentation offers a practical way of understanding Jesus as the "Way." He is the perfect role model of virtue. Learn more about the Theological virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity. Develop a better understanding of the Cardinal virtues of Prudence, Temperance, Fortitude and Justice. Discover how acquired virtues like Wisdom, Contentment, Joy, Humility, Patience, and Gratitude make us more Christ-like!

-Catholic Prayer and Spirituality Half Day Workshop: This presentation discusses the three types of prayer: vocal, meditative and contemplative. Reaching deep, we learn how these various forms of prayer can help us grow closer to Christ. Time is allotted to practice prayer.

We then dive into the spirituality brought forth by some spiritual giants such as St. Dominic, St. Francis of Assisi, and others. We travel through time, gaining an understanding of what these great saints faced, in their respective time period, and how and why their unique spirituality developed.
