Jewels Green is a regretful and repentant post-abortive mother, suicide attempt survivor, and former abortion facility worker turned faithful Catholic and ardent pro-life advocate.
Jewels was a 17-year-old drug-using high school dropout when she discovered she was pregnant for the first time. She struggled through abortion, guilt, hopelessness, despair, and loss of faith. After trying to end her life she felt like a failure for surviving. In a misguided attempt to transform her guilt and shame, Jewels took a job in an abortion facility. Every day during the years she worked there she missed her own child, but tried to believe those around her who all insisted that abortion was “no big deal.” But deep down, she knew differently.
Many years later, she let God back into her life and He had surprises in store!
After hearing a story of a surrogate mother who accepted payment of her contract in full to abort a baby with Down syndrome, the veil was finally lifted from her eyes and she experienced a true “Ah-HA” moment. After her profound conversion to the pro-life worldview, Jewels began seeking truth—and found it in the one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church.
Jewels has written extensively about her experiences in candid articles published both online and in print and is featured in the documentary film “40” about the scourge and aftermath of more than 40 years of legalized abortion-on-demand in the United States.
She shares her story of pain, shame, regret, repentance, and forgiveness in a raw, honest, and direct way that connects with her listeners.
"Jewels’ stirring personal testimony of her awakening to God and His awesome creation of the human person had our students enraptured. Her story calls us pro-lifers to a renewed commitment to the unborn child, and to a gentle compassion for young women who are deceived into believing that it’s merely a “choice.” I would highly recommend Jewels to come and present her own personal journey to faith and Life." - Father Jean-Luc Zadroga O.S.B., Saint Vincent College
"She was fantastic. Her sincerity and enthusiasm were contagious. Her presentation was controlled, professional and passionate. I truly thank God for bringing us together over the past year and would recommend Jewels for any Pro-Life speaking engagement. She will surely change the hearts and the minds of those trapped in the evil of abortion and bring to light the TRUTH of Jesus Christ into their lives. " - Helen MacMinn, Reading/Berks Walk for Life
"Jewels' talk to us was “real.” She tells her story in a way that doesn’t have the false ring that “professional” fundraising speakers tend to have. She paints a picture of the swirl of emotions that haunted her so well that you can close your eyes and see her in her suffering. Jewels gave our donors a look inside the horror of the clinic without using incendiary language. She clearly respects the dignity of the human child who is aborted while never losing sight of the humanity of the clinic workers. All of the comments I received after the event were positive. Our guests felt like they shared a part of her life with her—she really made a connection with them." - Stephanie Giles, Executive Director, Lifeline of Berks County, Inc.
“Jewels was 100% successful with everyone that attended. The deeper people are involved in pro-life work, the more she was appreciated by them, as the veils of wondering what happens inside an abortion clinic were finally taken down." - Paulette Matthews, Director of Chester County 40 Days for Life Campaign
