Join us Friday evening, August 1, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Omaha for the annual Heartland Catholic Men's Conference. For the last four years, hundreds of men have gathered each year in Omaha taking an entire Saturday to attend the Heartland Catholic Men’s conference. The goal of this conference has been, and continues to be, to provide men in our region with an opportunity to come to know their faith better, network with other Catholic men, and receive spiritual nourishment. This next year, for our fifth anniversary celebration, the men have asked to change things up a bit. The men will still gather together, but this time it will be on Friday night, August 1. Our speakers will be country music legend, Collin Raye, folk-rock artist Mike Mangione, and comedian Jonnie W. Then on Saturday, August 2 as a special thanks to their families who have supported them on this spiritual journey, the men would like to invite everyone to join them at Morrison Soccer Stadium at Creighton University for the first Heartland Family Festival. This festival will include performances from the men’s conference speakers, food, attractions, vendors, a kid zone, and more. The evening will end with a fireworks display in honor of our military families and a special musical salute from Collin Raye. Tickets for this event are at a very low, discounted rate up until Father’s Day, as a special gift to large families and struggling single parents. We want everyone to feel welcome to attend.
