CMG Booking Acquires Catholic Speakers Association
CMG Booking To Rebrand As Catholic Speakers Organization
11/29/2017 - For immediate release:
Dekalb, IL / Austin, TX: The two largest Catholic speaking bureaus are now one. CMG Booking, the Catholic speakers organization, today announced it has acquired Catholic Speakers Association, CatholicSpeakers.com, a brand subsidiary of Lighthouse Catholic Media. The arrangement commenced January of 2017 and was finalized mid-November of 2017. Both organizations agree this strategic deal will prove to be extremely advantageous for Catholic evangelization as a whole.
“I am thrilled about the opportunities this will unfold for advancing Catholic evangelization”, said Joe Condit, Founder of CMG Booking. “This acquisition will help us evangelize the Word of God more broadly supporting our quest to perfect our service for the speakers we represent and clients we book events with.”
“CMG Booking was the obvious choice to help take Catholic Speakers Association to the next level”, said Jesse Ray, Director for Catholic Speakers Association. “Advancing Catholic evangelization was the core driver for this change and we believe we have done just that.”
The acquisition presents a major opportunity for CMG Booking to maximize its evangelization efforts for the Catholic Faith, as well as solidify its global position as the leading resource for Catholic speaking. Founded in 2006, the now Texas-based company was the first ever Catholic-focused speakers bureau of its kind and post acquisition will represent more Catholic speakers than any other Catholic organization. Over the last decade, CMG Booking has grown to control CMGbooking.com, CatholicSpeaking.com and now CatholicSpeakers.com.
Among many advancements, the company has announced a financial aid fund to provide financial assistance to event coordinators, parishes and conferences with budget challenges. “We book hundreds of events annually and event coordinators from all over the world contact us year-after-year because of the many benefits we provide them,” said Joe Higgins, Vice President Of Operations for CMG Booking. "Our scholarship fund rewards event planners who repeatedly book speakers with us as well as events with budget challenges."
CMG Booking has plans to rebrand itself post acquisition. The CMG Booking name will be replaced with the new identity, The Catholic Speakers Organization, with www.CatholicSpeakers.com positioned as the main website. Financial terms of the acquisition are confidential and were not disclosed.
